General Notes (Husband)

The copy of the birth certificate I have lists the father incorrectly. It lists the father as W. A. Simpson. The birth certificate also was not filed until 5/1/1919. Age of father at birth is 23 age of mother is 19. Mother is listed as Dellia Burnette.

I have in my possession a copy of the separation papers. They state he joined the Army 10 Nov 1942 and separated from the army 19 Dec 1945. He joined the army as a private. And moved up to a corporal after 2 months. During his time in the army he was Basic for 2 months; Radio Operator, Medium Tank for 24 months; and Gunner Machine, Medium Tank for 18 months. It states on his speparation papers that he completed 1 year of high school and as a civilian worked on his father's 60 acre farm. He left school in 1939.
