Warrant of Appraisement
Estate of Sarah Dickerson, dec'd
May 10th 1864

SUSSEX COUNTY, SS                                                                                                    
            To John C. Hazzard (&) Edward M. Vaughan two judicious and impartial men of Sussex County, Greeting: You are hereby appointed appraisers of the goods and chattels of Sarah Dickerson late of Broadkiln Hundred, Sussex County, aforesaid deceased. And you are by these presents authorized and requiredto appaise all the goods and chattels of the said deceased, as the same shall be inventoried and exhibited, made known, or shown to you by Charles Manship, adm. of the said Sarah Dickerson, deceased, at the true value thereof, in money of the United States...                             Witness John W. Scribner, Register for Sussex County aforesaid, at Georgetown, this Tenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and sixty four.

We the subscribers Jno. C. Hazzard and Edward M. Vaughan do on oath say that the Goods and Chattels in this inventory, have been appraised by us at the sum stated, which is according to our best judgment their true value. Dated the 9th day of June 1864.
