In the name of God amen, I Ann Short, widow of Edward Short, Dec'd, of Sussex County, State of Delaware in Dagsborough  Hundred, and calling to mind the uncertainty of this Mortal Life, being weak in body, but of Sound and perfect mind and memory Blessed be Almighty God for the Same, Do make and Publish this my Last will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say, after my Just Debts and Funeral Charges is all paid I Dispose of the rest of my Estate as follows.

Item, I give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Betsey James one Bead and furniture, the one upstairs that my son Isaac Lays on, to her and her heirs and Assigns for Ever.

Item, I give and Bequeath unto my son Isaac Short one pair of oxen, one cow, one bead and furniture with two bead Quilts, three Sheats, one New Blanket, Two Pillows, and one Wallnut Table with five Chears, but shall not Trade them or Trafick them without the Advise and Consent of his Brother-in-law Isaac Connaway, To him and his heirs for Ever.

Item, I give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Nancy Connaway one Shilling.

Item, I give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Hannah Piper one Shilling.

Item, I give and Bequeath unto my four grandchildren, Namely, Rebecka Crocket, William Crocket, Salley Crocket and Joseph Crocket, all the Rest, Residue and Remainder of my Estate, of what Nature or kind it may be, to them Equally to be Divided Between them their Heirs and Assigns for Ever.

And Lastly I do Nominate Constitute and Appoint my Son-in-law Isaac Connaway my hole and Sole Executor of this my Last will and Testament, Rattifying and Confirming this and No other to be my ___ and D___. Signed, Sealed, published and pronounced to be my Last will and Testament, Together with the witnesses and at the request of the Testatrix has Subscribed their names as witnesses, this first Day of October in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and thirty Two.
