Born Gerringong 1862. 100 acres 1884 - 1 horse, 30 cattle. Committee member Robertson Agricultural Society 1886. Leased 10 acres of his property "Alnwick" for the Robertson Agricultural Society on 1 October 1887 as permanent Showground. Elected Treasurer 1889-90. Elected President 1893 and stepped down 1914. Registered elector 1903, farmer. His brother M.E. Hindmarsh was elected in his place. Returned as President 1918 and served a total of 33 years in that position.
