Mrs. Catherine Haas, Gackle, Dies At
Home; Funeral Held Wednesday
Funeral services were held at Gackle
yesterday for Mrs. Catherine Haas of that town, who died at her home
Saturday afternoon. Burial was in the Seventh Day Adventist
cemetery.
Mrs. Haas was born in South Russia
and married to Frederick Haas in 1883. Three years later they came
to the United States, living in Emery, S.D., for a year and at Venturia,
N.D., before going to Gackle, which has been their home since 1913.
Survivors are her husband, three
sons, four daughters, and a brother and sister, 13 grandchildren and two
great grandchildren.

Mrs. Fred Lang,
Gackle, Dies Here
Mrs. Christina Lang, wife of Fred
Lang of Gackle, died Wednesday [Feb 28] afernoon at Trinity hospital
where she had been a patient for three weeks and where she underwent an
operation a few days ago.
Deceased was born in Russia on
March 10, 1871, and her marriage to Mr. Lang occurred in that country on
February 12, 1894. They came to Gackle from their native land in 1903
and farmed near there until several years ago when they moved into
Gackle.
Survivors in addition to Mr.
Lang, are three sons, Gust Lang of Jamestown, August and Fred Lang of
Gackle; a sister, Mrs. Louis Neuhardt of Lodi, Calif., and nine
grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements have not
been made.

Gottlieb F. Lang of Gackle Dies
Friday
The death of Gottlieb F. Lang of
Gackle occurred at the Trinity hospital here Friday, the cause of death
being given as ruptured appendix. The deceased, who was twenty-six
years of age, was born in Russia. The funeral services will be held at
Gackle.
