John Kapp, 82, of Medina, died
Saturday in the Gackle Medical Center where he had been a patient for
two weeks.
Funeral services were Tuesday in
the Medina Auditorium with Rev. N. E. McCoy officiating. Burial
was in the Medina cemetery.
Born Dec. 28, 1886, in Russia,
Mr. Kapp came to the U.S. in 1905, locating at Napoleon. His marriage to
Eva Hoff took place March 20, 1908, in Ashley and they made their home
on a farm southwest of Wishek. The family lived in Venturia,
Langdon, Valley City, Jamestown, Tappen and Medina.
After his wife's death on March
12, 1956, Mr. Kapp moved to Tappen. For the past two years he had
made his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Schmidt
in Medina.
He is survived by five children,
Andrew Kapp, Tappen; Edward Kapp and Mrs. Leo Schmidt, Medina; Daniel
Kapp, Jamestown, and Mrs. Frieda Schauer, Wilton; 31 grandchildren and
22 great grandchildren.

The funeral for
Kenneth Kapp, 59, rural Medina, will be held Tuesday, Oct. 26 [1982], at 1:30
p.m., in the English Lutheran Church there with Rev. William Fink
officiating. He died Oct. 21 at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck.
Interment will be in the church
cemetery and Eddy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.
Mr. Kapp was born May 2, 1923, in
Bloomfield Township near Medina, the son of William and Louise (Fisher)
Kapp. He received his education there and graduated from Medina
High School.
On Oct. 19, 1947, he married
Alverta Donat at Medina. They lived on the family farm homestead
in Bloomfield Township.
He had served as a school clerk
and township clerk for several years and was a past board member of the
Farmers Union Oil Company and member of the English Lutheran Church at
Medina.
Survivors include his wife; two
sons, Keith Kapp of Marysville, Wash., and Kelly Kapp of Indianola,
Wash., one daughter, Kathi Kapp of Garden City, Kan., two grandchildren;
one brother Raymond Kapp of Casper, Wyo., and on sister, Mrs. Marvin
Dockter (LuVerne) of Medina.
