County Record, Jamestown, ND Thursday 28, 1946, Page 1 Heart Attack Causes Death of Streeter Man Edward Lang, 41, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon at his home in Streeter. Death was caused by a heart attack. He had suffered from heart trouble for a number of years. Funeral services will be held Friday, at the home at 1 o'clock and at the Evangelical church in Streeter at 2 o'clock. Rev. Mr. Itterman will officiate. The body is at the Willett Mortuary. Mr. Lang was born in Streeter Sept. 21, 1904, and has been a driver of the school bus for a number of years. Survivors are Mrs. Lang, a son and daughter, Leroy and Linda Lou; his father, Carl Lang of Streeter, two brothers, Gustav of Lodi, Calif., and Edwin of Streeter, and a half-brother and a half-sister, Raymond and Edwin [Leona] Lang of Streeter. |

County Record, Jamestown, ND April 25, 1957, Page 8 Karl Lang, Pioneer Resident of Streeter Community, Dies Karl Lang, 76, longtime resident of the Streeter community died Monday, April 15, in the Jamestown Hospital. Mr. Lang was born May 30, 1880 in Kassel, South Russia. He came to the United States in 1900 and settled on a farm near Lehr. Mr. Land and Christina Bittner were married Feb. 12, 1903 at Lehr and moved to a farm near Streeter the following year. Mrs. Lang died in 1918. Mr. Lang married Dora Enzminger in 1921 and they made their home on a farm near Streeter when they retired and moved into Streeter. Surviving are his wife and the following children: Edwin Lang, Streeter; Gust Lang, Lodi, Calif.; Mrs. Otto Weisser (Leona), Hardin, Mont.; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, six sons and a sister. Funeral services for Mr. Lang were held April 18 at the Evangelical United Brethren church in Streeter with Rev. S. E. Graf, pastor, in charge. Mrs. Grace Bitterman, organist played a program of music as friends assembled and left the church. She accompanied a quartet composed of Milton Iszler, Milton and Elton Swarzwalter and Allen Schaur, who sang "Sometime We'll Understand" and "This World Is Not Our Home." Pallbearers were Fred and Emil Schaur, Harry Wolf, Fred and Joseph Muller and Jacob Docktor. Burial was made in the Streeter Cemetery with Haut Funeral Home of Gackle in charge of arrangements. Attending the services from a distance were Gust Lang, Sacramento, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Suko, Jamestown; Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Reich, Cleveland; and many relatives and friends from the Gackle and Streeter vicinity. |
