17 JAN 1908
*James E. Brady and Miss Katherine Bowman were united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents near Kulm on January 7, Father Duffy officiation.  "Jim" has a number of friends in this vicinity with whom The Republican joins in wishing them a happy and prosperous married life.

14 FEB 1908

Miss Florence Schrivens and Charles Mucklewright surprise their many Streeter friends last Thursday night driving to Napoleon [ND] and being quietly married Florence is the daughter of Isaac Schrivens, section foreman, and is widely known. Mr. Mucklewright is a resident of Napoleon, where the young couple will make their home.

20 FEB 1908
*Saturday afternoon one O'clock was solemnized the marriage of John Nickila to Elizabeth SarkKinen at Ellendale Rev. Isaacs of that place officiating.  Both young people are very favorable known in the community.  They will make their home here near Gackle where the Groom has a farm.  The Gackle Republican joins their many friends with congratulations for a long and happy life.

On Sunday at high noon Miss Katharene Heiz daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Hiez was joined in wedlock to Theodar Fode son of Mr. and Mrs. John Fode of this place.  The bride and groom were attended by Theodar Hiez and Miss Elisabeth Moss, Emanuel Koenig and Miss Ottillie Fode, Christ Rott and Miss Rosena Hiez, Jacob Rott and Miss Lintena Fode.  The interesting ceremony was performed by Rev. Wacker and taking place in the German Congregational Church after the service and alaborate wedding dinner was given at the home of the Groom's parents Mr. and Mrs. John Fode.  About one hundred and fifty guests being present the Groom and Bride are well known and have a host of friends who wish them a long and happy life.

6 MAR 1908

On Monday evening Mar. 2th at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bell of Streeter occured the marriage of their daughter Miss Gertrude to Elmer Meston the Bride was attended by Amy Bell and Miss Deveney and the Groom by James McKnight and Dan Tracy.  Father Duffy performed the Ceremony, about one hundred guests being present following the service an elaborate supper was served the evening was spent in dancing.  The Bride is well and populary known and has a host of friends and the Groom is Station agent at Streeter they will make their home at that place their many friends wish them joy and prosperity.  Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Barnes of this place were among the wedding guest.

6 MAR 1908

On Tuesday March 3 accured the marriage of Miss Anna May Doyle to Allan Maclay Father Duffy of Edgeley officiation.  The wedding being a quiet affair the Groom is a fireman on the N.P. road.  The happy couple will go to Jamestown where they will make their home we are wishing the new couple a long and happy life.

While going to press we learn that Walter Hermann of Alfred was married to Margaret Klundt of that place the first part this week.  That certainly going some next week we will know more about this affair.

Sunday forenoon about 11 o’clock was solemnized the marriage of Dan Summerfelt to Lydia Krual the Bride was attended by Miss Krual and the Groom by John Henrich. The interesting ceremony was preformed by Rev. Wacker at the German Congergational church. Both young people are favorable known in this community. They will make their home here near Gackle with the Grooms parents on a farm. The Gackle Republican joins their many friends with congratulations.

15 MAY 1908

     On Friday evening May 8th at the home of the Brides parents Mr. and Mrs. Ole Johnstad of this place occurred the marriage of their daughter Miss Constance to Thos. N. Peditt [Pettit] of Fargo N. D. The ceremony was witnessed by a large assemblage of relatives and friends and was performed by Rev. Cunningham of Edgeley. Miss Dors Torfin and Miss Polly Johnstad acted as bridesmade and the bridegroom was attended by T. Hillius and Charley Enders. The young couple received may presents to assist them in the furnishing of their home. The crowd was treated to a beautiful wedding feast and indulged in dancing until the late hour.
      The happy couple will leave the first part of the week to the Yellowstone Park where they will spend their honeymoon. The Bride and Groom are very favorable known in this community and have a host of friends. The Republican joins their many friends in wishing the happy couple a pleasant journey down the stream of life.

While going to press we learn that on Thursday afternoon June 11th 1908 was solemnized the marriage of A. M. Klein to Miss Lydia Lehr at Jamestown. Both young people are very favorable known in this community. They will make their home here at Gackle. The Republican joins their many friends with.

*A very pretty wedding took place at Napoleon Monday when Miss Jennie Solomen was united in marriage to C. W. Meyers of this place the bride and groom are very favorable known in this community and have a host of friends who wish them a pleasant Jurney through life.

7 AUG 1908
*Cards are out announcing the marriage of William W. Ruff to Miss Lydia Meuller Saturday August 7th at 5 o’clock in the Baptist church.

14 AUG 1908 - "Wedding"
*At five o’clock, Saturday evening August 8th 1908, the marriage of Miss Lydia Meuller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Meuller of this place to Mr. Wm. W. Ruff, at the German Baptist church, Rev. Smith of Medina officiating, Rickey Wolf and Rosy Geiser were brides maids, Albert Meuller and Edward Kroll acted as best men. The bride being dressed in a pretty attire of silver-gray argandy. Trimmed beautifully with white fillet lace and carried bride’s roses and carnations. After the marriage ceremony, the bridal couple accompaned by the brides maids and best men and close relatives were met at the church doors by the Gackle brass band, which playing the wedding march, escorted the bridal procession to the home of the bride’s parents, where a grand wedding supper was served to over a hundred wedding guests, consisting of close relatives and friends. The Republican joins their many friends in wishing this couple a long life of happiness and prosperty.

16 OCT 1908
*A very pretty Wedding took place at Napoleon Friday when Mrs. A Stolanke was united in marriage to Markku Santanen of the place. The bride and groom are very favorable known in this community and have a host of friends. The Gackle Republican joins their many friends in wishing them a pleasant journey through life.

13 NOV 1908 - "Wedding"
*  At 2 o'clock P. M. Thursday afternoon November 12th 1908 occurred the marriage of Miss Emma Geiszler of Medina to Fred Lehr Jr. of this place. The marriage ceremony was preformed by Rev. Smith of the German Baptist church of Medina. Miss Anna Lehr and Sophia Geiszler were bridesmaids.
   Ed Kroll and Gottlieb Betch acted as best men after the marriage ceremony, the bridal couple accompanied by the brides maids and best men and close relatives to the home of the brides parents where a grand wedding supper was served to over a hundred wedding guests consisting of close relatives and friends. The Republican joins their many friends in wishing this couple a long life of happiness and prosperty.
