* Last Monday
evening at Valley City occurred the marriage of Miss Amy Bell and William
Dunican, Judge Irgens performing the ceremony. The bride is a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John Bell of this place. She has been at Edgeley for the past
year in the employ of the Pomona Valley Telephone Co., as operator. The
groom is the new station agent at Wimbledon on the Midland Continnetal
road. The bride is well known in Streeter. The Herald joins with their many
friends in wishing them much joy and the best of success in their new

Doctor, of Streeter and Miss Matilda Schlenker of this place were united in
marriage in the Lutheran church, three miles west of here, Tuesday
afternoon, Rev. Nagel of Streeter officiating.
The Misses Margaret Schmidt and Christina Roth were brides maid. Arthur Neumann and a brother of the groom acted as best men.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schlenker and is well and favorably known in this vicinity. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Doctor of Streeter and has a host of friends and acquaintances here.
After the wedding ceremony the bridal party and guests drove to the home of the bride's parents where a bounteous wedding dinner was served.
A large number of the groom's friends from Streeter were in attendance.
The young couple will make their home on a farm near Streeter.

Elhard of Watkins, Mont., and Miss Emelia Ruff were united in marriage at
the Baptist church at 8 o'clock Thursday evening, Rev. Schneidt saying the
words which bound them for life.
Miss Lydia Bender was the maid of honor and John Elhard a cousin of the groom, was the best man.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ruff, Sr. and is well known, accomplished and highly respected young lady.
The groom is the son of Gottlieb Elhard of this place and is well and favorably known. He has a homestead near Watkins, Mont., where the young couple will make the home.
The Republican joins their host of friends in this vicinity in extending heartiest of congratulations.

their daughter, Mary to Herman Wittner in the presence of a few of the
friends ad relatives of the contracting parties, both well known young

1915 - WEDDING BELLS
* Miss Grace Hoffmann and F. J. Oerkfitz sprang a surprise on their
many friends here by being married at Jamestown last Saturday afternoon by
Judge Hemmi. They left here Thursday afternoon, drove across to Cleveland,
from which place, they took the east bound train for Jamestown, being
married there Saturday. They returned home Monday and will make their home
with the bride's mother, Mrs. Minnie Hoffmann until spring. The newly weds
have a host of friends here who will join with the Republican in extending
hearty congratulations and best wishes.

Deutscher and Miss Emma Smith were married at the Hotel Cataract last
Saturday evening. Mrs. C. E. Dotson performing the ceremony. A two course
wedding dinner was served, the first course consisted of smoked white fish
and the second of oranges. We have not learned Mr. and Mrs. Deutscher's
plans for the future but we join their numerous friends in extending good
wishes.

afternoon at the Baptists church northwest of here occurred the wedding of
Gottlieb Wolf, Jr. to Miss Rose Zeb. Rev. Schneidt officiating. The groom
is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Wolf and has grown to young
manhood here. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Zeb and is
well and favorably known here. The young people left immediately after the
wedding for the new home in Idaho, followed by the best wishes of a large
circle of friends here who wish them all happiness possible in their
married life.

Kenzler of the Richville neighborhood and Mrs. Kate Witmer of near Streeter
in Stutsman county were united in marriage at the chambers of the county
court at the court house Tuesday forenoon, Judge Bryant, officiating. The
principals were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Henry Miller and Fred H.
Miller. The Homestead offers congratulations. The Napoleon Homestead.

"REICH-GOEHRING"

Magdalena Goehring, second youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Goehring
of this city [Napoleon], was united in marriage at Herried, S.D., on June
4, 1915, with Mr. John Reich, of Lehr, the ceremony being performed by Rev.
Bentz at the Baptist parsonage.
The bride has many warm friends here who will be surprised to learn of the happy event. She is a graduate of the Napoleon school and during the past term taught at Lehr.
The groom is a prosperous young farmer of the Lehr vicinity, where he has a host of friends.
They have gone to housekeeping on Mr. Reich's farm.

Fode and Ray Morrison stole a march on their friends here last Friday by
going to Aberdeen, where they were married. They were given a royal
reception when they returned this week. Both young people are well known

Heinz of Lehr, and Ed. Nathan were married at Napoleon last Thursday
morning. The happy couple returned to Gackle Friday and have gone to
housekeeping. The many friends of the newlyweds join The Republican in

N.D.--Miss Dorothy Von Donat, daughter of Mrs. Robert Von Donat, of 616
Cottonwood street, became the bride of Arthur G. Wilk of Gackle, N. D., at
4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon [Sept. 22, 1915]. The ceremony was performed
at St. Paul's Episcopal church and Rev. Frederick Oehler, pastor of the
Episcopal church of Devils Lake, officiated.
A color tone of yellow and white was used for the church decorations, being effected with quantities of white asters, golden glow, southern smilax and yellow chrysanthemums.
After the ceremony, the wedding party went to the home of the bride's mother, where the wedding supper was served to the members of the two families and a few intimate friends of the young people.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilk will leave this evening on a five week's wedding trip. They go directly to San Francisco, to visit the exposition, and on their homeward journey they will visit Salt Lake City, Denver, Omaha and Chicago and with relatives of Mr. Wilk at Eau Claire, and Alma, Wis.
Mrs. Wilk has resided in Grand Forks all her life, and is a graduate of the local high school and state university. For the past two years she has been an instructor in the schools at Gackle.
Mr. Wilk is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Wilk of Alma, Wis., and has been depot agent for the Northern Pacific at Gackle for some time. Mr. Wilk and his bride will make their home at Gackle. -- GRAND FORKS DAILY HERALD

will ring Saturday when our very popular telephone girl, Miss Ruth Bell and
the genial Assistant Cashier of the First National Bank, Mr. H. E.
Buttweiler are "hitched to drive double." Both of these young
people are well and favorably known in Streeter, and were we to write a
column in praise and adoration of these young people we feel that we would
not have written anything that is not already known by their many friends.
