Staff managers always asked for my military degree as officer in the reserve when I was a young man. What a pity that they did not promote me lowest to rank above private at the end of conscript. If I had been, they would have seen me at once as a young coming man. Nevertheless, you should know your place as subordinate in a hierarchy. Those were the rules in the chicken yard.

In theory man is supposed to be more equal in late nineties. Still it is a fortune to have parents in position and have the gift of imitating a dog being a yes-man. This depends on density of population and indoctrination. It is no mystery. Populations of other beings organise a hierarchy in their population too. The bee-queen is the ultimate organisation.

When we look back, I suppose man was really free some 5000-year ago. Why should Inanna charm man to work with agriculture? ... Why was the leader of a suite in Egypt a beautiful woman and model for a later Aphrodite? Her body language was "Take me now" or "I am ready" ... a qualified guess is that behind that was Mother Invention and a totally free man.

Gyrstone (Maidenstone) at Audeborg with a heel-stone. Painted by Richard Dybeck an early archaeologist 1847. Near Aberdeen in Scotland there is a Maiden Stone like this.

When we shall interpret signs and symbols in the early days with no written language as guide, you may choose either of two ways. You may act like the Greek sophist and say "The world do not exist if you cannot read or speak about it". The rest is left to rumours and to your fantasies. The Greeks also write down the other way. It is the stoic method. You go to the middle of the world and try to sense what is happening. That is of course to go for essential problems including the environments of them. A third way is the testament of the late stoic Wittgenstein who said: "If you do not understand what you think, keeping your mouth shut is better"

I do as the stoic and try to understand life of Mother Invention and her supports. She has left us many icons to solve. The sphere of ritual includes many symbols we have to see as icons, just in the same way as in the computer programme Windows. An icon is the symbol for a whole programme with many small moments of action.

To understand ourselves better we have to study our roots and how it all began. Two main roots are in Egypt and Mesopotamia. The Suite we find earliest in Egypt 7000 to 5000 BC and they paint it on pottery. In a critical analysis it is how the more reasoning leaders got the thoughtless folks to follow Her. While they once began, it went on and on for millenniums ... and today we cannot avoid following our leaders. Otherwise, we would be pushed to a side with less common value.

If you as an example have a portal, it is much more than the physical existence of the gateway. It is a point between two rooms of living, as a point between past and coming and vice versa. They did not see time as a bit of movement as we do. It was all activity in the thought room of living and should be defined as room-time. Other expressions were the Celtic definitions of my world, another world, otherworld and underworld which all includes time and space.

From those days we have the pottery paintings of the suite. In the beginning there were not many members in the suite. Still, there were many enough to see, that it was supposed that people should follow the Maiden. Of course the suite become more sophisticated with growth of population and temples. She, the Bride or the Maiden with many names was the constellation Auriga during the fourth millennium. The star Capella was current around 3100 BC. We know of time correction and beginning of the Indus-calendar, Aztec calendar and Nordic rituals of grinding axes or chisels.

"Shemesu Her suite" it is till called today in Egypt and here painted on old pots from before 3000 BC.

In everyday belief there was no difference between man and animal in Egypt. That is because all details were ideograms or icons of ritual and it makes our interpreting time consuming. At the left end of the "boat" is a palm-leaf. This was later the hieroglyph renpet meaning year or end of year. Carving marks on a palm-leaf did counting years

On pottery there is what may be a boat as eye- catcher. Maybe it is, but not anyone. If we in detail interpret the figures, we may count the expected oars below the boat. They are 18 plus 22 total 40. They are same relations as in the night skies in the mausoleum of Ramesses IVth. There you find the most detailed night sky of Egypt's culture.

From this follow that Egyptians counted nine days forty times a year. This is valid at least in some part of the big country Egypt. When Egypt had grown to the largest extension, it was as long as Sweden. In a poly-culture, making generalisation is risky.

There is a joint in the middle and a closed portal. On it is a pennant and it gives the message "Coupled life". At the right end is a hut of leaf. On other paintings is the Sign Mountain or Hill of Origin, which was the rest place during a flood. At the left end the palm leafs counting years and the goat reminding about living on it during inundation. Because of the goat as icon we may conclude that the cow was not yet a common animal.

In cities and temples duty and fees were collected in the gateway between two worlds. That means that the icon portal was used in cases of likeliness. Roman Janus and Sumerian Utu were icons of the point between a new year and last year.

When we know this, we also know when the New Age began due to precession. That is the time lag of ecliptic or zodiac. In other words it means earlier occurrence of the equinoxes in each successive sidereal year. It is one degree in ca.71 years. Thus we may count backwards from today roughly three constellations or a quarter of Magnus Year 25800 years that is 6450 years from today to 4454 BC. At that date spring equinox was in Gemini and Sothic. They sometimes called the latter the Dog star.

The Sothic gave a name to the Sothic cycle of 1460 years. This period should give the same date for rising of that star. It is a reconstruction after events. That shows no know-ledge of precession. Nowadays the equinox is in at the head of the Fish and the zodiac is 4,4 periods later than the supposed first rising of Sothic.

At this time is no sign of the later Isis with her mate Osiris predestined to the underworld. Maybe it could be understood in the couples we see in some pot paintings? Perhaps they created the myth around 3100 BC. Their myth is a wonder of rationalisation. The Egyptians chose what they needed to explain the resurrection in practice.

Nowadays managers call it to delegate when they rank a worker into a place in an organisation. Rightly they put a man on a specified post. To be correct in room-time we might say, in the suite of hierarchy and successive work in the organisation. The only difference is that our companies are bigger than the small farmer settlements in the beginning of time. You may name the posts as icons of work to be done, or you may see it as a defined idol for the same work. The manager, Himself he believes of course that he is God.

The myth of resurrection

No need to be an admirer of urban cultures. Urban people seem predestined to destroy most of the worlds. It has accelerated in our generation with lack of ability to control our technology. Many earlier urban cultures have left only ruins wasteland and pollution. It sounds more like sticking up to nature, when men call themselves homo sapiens sapiens. This is of course in Latin so very few understanding it, ... See the Wittgenstein solution above. Seeing any reason in destroying our own living room is difficult.

One aspect of ritual was to educate coming generations. Another was to prepare for next season. The third was preparing for an afterlife. They saw no fundamental difference between regeneration of plant, animal or man. Of course they knew that the individual could not be regenerated to same shape ... but it was a hopeful thought and a beautiful way to leave this life.

You need not know all about how animals and herbs regenerate either to cultivate or to make ritual forecast a season of breed or harvest. The ingenuity is the simplifying all aspects of life in only one myth.

The ritual of funeral was a copy of that of cultivation.

A bird left and an iset hieroglyph on head guard the Corpse. Iset stands for the step to the underworld. On right the bird carries a beaker or the sign water of life. Iset stands also for Isis and her stars the Auriga on the Watergate. The Sothic was also one of her stars in the myth

Resurrection has two aspects and the common among citizens is afterlife. Many people have much concern about dead and afterlife. It is only natural that we want to live it is the desire and force that keep us alive. It seems that wealth leads to much effort to longer life even beyond the biological deadline. All high cultures put many expenses to the funeral and whatever they can do to at least be remembered after the dead.

In a religious culture there is the establishment of priest and those who know the texts. Generation after generation makes new messages and rituals. For those outside it looks very magic and is part of the secret in mysteries. Maybe the real benefit is that it helps dying people in their preparation and the remaining family in their sorrow.

Then it is also a sort of ancestors' cult to remember those who have done much for society. We laugh at those who use the ancestor's skull as symbol. We have other symbols and means to keep in memory deeds of Michelangelo, Marconi, Graham Bell and Einstein to mention a few.

Time of practice in the real resurrection was of course in the spring or the moon of Khoiak our February. In the temple of Isis they made mould in shape of Osiris. They filled with a blend of sand and seed, then wrapped up with rush and sprinkled the mould with water. They laid the Corpse in a shallow basin. This was a method of testing germination of seed in practice.

The stars of Osiris were Orion. He is here in the incarnation of the djed-pillar or the growing corn. Isis is on the left and Nephthys the humidity on the right side.

During next ten days they sprinkled it and on the 2lst basin were placed in sun a short while before sundown. Then they sent it for a trip until the 25th. On that day it was placed in a coffin and laid in a grave. The last day of festivities was the 30th and funeral was over. This was last day of inundation and new seed had germinated. On this day the djed-pillar was set up as sign of the "Kid" on his/her way.

They dealt funeral and mummifying with much the same way. Some Egyptians have got a new eternal life.

Heron standing on Hill of Origin an icon of resurrection. In Scandinavian languages we have a little word UR for oldest origin.

In Val Camonica, the Italian Alps' donkey were used and also tools of Egypt as pickaxe and early ard. The ard only carves the soil, when a plough turns the ridges. ... Good to know where the child is!
