Ann CAWTHORN & George William BUTTER
Ann CAWTHORN & George William BUTTER
Ann CAWTHORN, 3rd child and only daughter of Joseph & Hannah was baptised on 23 February 1840
at St. Peter's Church, Upwell - so I assume she was born either late in 1839 or early 1840 as
I haven't yet found a birth registration for her.
Ann was a witness to her brother, William Walton's marriage to Eliza Jane MEANS on 2 October 1866
at the Primitive Methodist Chapel at Outwell.
Again at St. Peter's, Upwell, on 19 June 1866, at the age of 26, Ann was married to
George William BUTTER of Shouldhamthorpe, nr Downham Market, Norfolk.
They had one child:
Hannah Ann

On the 1881 U.K. Census, Ann, George & Hannah are living at Barroway Drove, Wimbotsham, Norfolk.
George's occupation was joiner.
But by the 1891 UK Census - they are living at Tottenhill, Norfolk with Hannah & her husband,
