CHARLES DOBIE : LOCAL HISTORY
TORONTO, ONTARIO

Lighthouse Concert,
City Hall, Toronto, Sept. 20, 1970
The two featured bands were
Lighthouse and Mudflat, who was the warm-up band.
This free concert was sponsored by radio station CHUM, and was to welcome Lighthouse
back from its performance on the Isle of Wight.
In several emails to me in April 2016, Kevin Closs said in part:
" Mudflat was Pinky Dauvin (ex-Lighthouse) on lead vocal,
Grant Fullerton (also ex-Lighthouse) on guitar, David Moulaison
(ex-Private Collection) on guitar,
Gene Falbo (who went on to play with Jackson Hawke) on bass, and Bob DiSalle (Bruce Cockburn's drummer throughout the 70s) on drums.
. . . .
" Pinky and Grant were from the band Stitch 'n' Tyme who had a hit with "Got to Get You Into My Life"
for the Yorkville label.
They then formed Lighthouse with Skip Prokop from The Paupers.
They left Lighthouse after three albums and formed Mudflat with David Moulaison.
Dave is from Sudbury and he recruited his school chums Gene Falbo and Bob DiSalle to play bass and drums respectively.
Mudflat broke up after Pinky decided he wanted to focus on a solo career.
David, Gene and Bob continued, along with lead guitarist Jake Thomas, renaming the band
Aaron Space and recording for Warner Brothers. "
