Robert Orme
was born about 1640 in Scotland. He was transported to Maryland from Bristol, England by John Haris, who claimed 650 acres for transporting 13 persons into the Province of Maryland on 8 Apr 1673.Robert wrote his will in Prince George's Co., Maryland on 17 Jan 1713. Robert died in Apr 1715 and his will was probated on 17 Apr 1715 in Prince George's Co., Maryland.
Robert and Sarah James had the following known children:
i. Robert was born about 1688 in Prince George's Co. Robert married Jane Piles. He died in P.G. Co., about 1728.
ii. Aron
iii. John was born about 1690 in P.G. Co. He married Sibbel Groome, daughter of Richard and Ann Groom. Known children are: John, William, Sibbel, Mary, Richard, Robert and Jesse.
iv. Moses (1693-1772)
v. Sarah married James Tanehill. They had 2 sons: James and John.
Moses Orme
was born in 1693 in Prince George's Co., Maryland. In 1734 he married Ann McKnew, in P. G. Co., Md. She was born in 1711 in St. Johns' Parish, P. G. Co., Md. Moses wrote his will on 19 Jun 1770 and his will was probated in P. G. Co., Md on 17 Dec 1772.Moses and Ann had the following known children:
i. Elley (1750-<1800)
ii. Nathan
iii. Philip
iv. Jeremiah
v. Rebeccah married (?)Miles.
vi. Ann
vii. Sarah married (?)Mitchell.
viii. Moses
ix. Mary married William Selby. They had 4 children: Nancy, Mary, Phebe and Rebecca.
Elley Orme
was born 1740 in Prince George's Co., Maryland. Elley married Susannah, who was born in 1755 in P.G. Co. They moved to Bullitt Co., Kentucky . Elley is on the tax list in 1800.They had the following children:
i. Nathaniel was born in 1775 in Prince George's Co., Md. on 11 JUL 1805 he married Peggy Pile in Bullitt Co., Kentucky. They had 2 children: Morris and Sarah Elizabeth.
ii. Mary was born in 1780 in Prince George's Co., Md. On 24 Mar 1796 she married Ignatious Brashear [cousin to Brashears that married Samuel Stallings children] in Nelson Co., Ky. Ignatious was born on 28 Mar 1768 in Md. He died in Bullitt Co, on 10 May 1827 and in buried in in Vine Hill Cemetery. Mary and Ignatious had 4 daughters: Nancy, Ruth, America and Lucy
iii. Morris was born in 1780 in Prince George's Co., Md. On 17 May 1820 he married Margaret Ann Caldwell in Bullitt Co., Kentucky. Morris died in Bullitt Co. on 21 Jun 1841. Margaret died before 1860. They had 3 children: James, Julia and Morris.
iv. Phillip was born in 1782 in Prince George's Co., Md. On 14 Aug 1809 he first married Nellie Johnson in Bullitt Co., Kentucky. She was born about 1784 in Maryland and died 1817 in Bullitt Co., Kentucky. They had one daughter Harriet who married William H. Stader.
On 22 Jan 1818
Phillip married Harriet Lovelace. They had Ruth and William.
Ruth also married William H. Stader.
v. Lucy was born in 1784 in Montgomery Co., Maryland. She married Henry Stallings in Bullitt Co., Kentucky
vi. Jeremiah was born in 1794 in Montgomery Co., Md. On 7 Feb 1824 he married Nancy Goldsmith in Bullitt Co, Kentucky. They had 2 children: Mary and William.
