Joseph Henry "Joe" Stewart was born on 23 Dec 1858 in Kentucky. He married Mary Elizabeth Smith. Joe and Mary lived in Tywappitty Twp., Missouri where Mary died before 1920. Joe died in Charleston, Missouri on 21 Jun 1938 and was buried in Calvary Cemetery, Charleston, Missouri on 22 Jun 1938.

Edward Ferdinand Stewart was born about 1864 in Kentucky. Edward Ferdinand married Elizabeth Helen Greenwell.

i. Martha Laura was born on 28 Mar 1898 in Mississippi Co., Missouri and was baptized in St. Henry's Catholic Church, Charleston, Missouri on 28 May 1898.

ii. Mary Alice was born on 11 Aug 1896 in Mississippi Co., Missouri and was baptized in St. Henry's Catholic Church on 19 Dec 1896.

Charles ‘Alphonse’ Stewart was born on 26 Feb 1878 in Union Co., Kentucky. He married Ada Francis Brown, daughter of John Baker Brown and Matilda Jane ‘Jennie’ Wathen. Ada was born on 17 Feb 1884 in Meade Co., Kentucky.

Alphonse and Ada lived in Charleston, Missouri where in 1920 Alphonse was a blacksmith and they were living at 810 East Commercial St., Charleston. Alphonse died on 2 Jul 1952 of a heart attack at home and was buried on 4 Jul 1952 in Calvary Cemetery, Charleston. Ada died in 1963 and is buried with Alphonse in Calvary Cemetery.

They had the following children:

i. Hazel Leona was born on 17 Jul 1903 in Mississippi Co., Missouri. On 16 May 1923, she married Golden Russell Stallings.

ii. Carl ‘Noble’ was born on 19 May 1906 in Mississippi Co., Missouri and was baptized in St Henry's Catholic Church on 18 Jul 1906. On 2 Apr 1929 he married Hazel Houck McCracken, daughter of William McCracken & Sylvia Marsh, in St Henry's Catholic Church.

iii. Joseph ‘Alphonse’ was born on 9 Sep 1914 in Mississippi Co., Missouri and was baptized in St Henry's Catholic Church on 12 Sep 1914. On 16 Aug 1932 he married Mary E. Newburger, in St Alphonsus Church, St Louis, Missouri. Joseph Alphonse died in St. Louis, Missouri in Mar 1985.
