I don't have much on the Reids(Reed). Going by transcripts that I have, they came to Australia in about 1862. John Reed was born on the 1 January 1845 in Ireland. He married Ellen Sullivan on the 13 October 1874 at Moruya, New South Wales. John's parents were Michael Reede and Mary Quiggley. John and Ellen had ten children. They were
John died on the 23 October 1921 at Chinderah, New South Wales. He is buried in the General Cemetery at Murwillumbah, New South Wales. After his death Ellen moved to Murwillumbah, New South Wales where she died on the 16 February 1940. She is buried at Bray Park, New South Wales.
