He married Portia Ann HEATH Daniel.

He graduated from high school in Royston, Ga., before 27 JUN 1963. He was inducted into the military in Royston, Ga., 27 JUN 1963. He joined the Navy and was sent to basic training in Great Lakes, Ill., then assigned to the USS Lindenwall, homeported in Little Creek, Va., where he spent two years as a deck seaman before attending Yeoman school in Bainbridge, Md., he returned briefly to the Lindenwall before being reassigned to the Division of Naval Reactors, U.S. Atomic Energy Commission, Washington, D.C., in August 1966.

He reported for active duty in Viet Nam, OCT 1969. Kenneth was deployed to South Viet Nam from Long Beach, Calif., aboard the USS Point Defiance. He was on active duty until late 1971, when he returned to the AEC in Washington. From there he was transferred to the draft board, where he served until 1975, when he was transferred to the USS Joseph Hewes out of Charleston, S.C., then to NAS Meridian, Miss., as assistant administrative officer.

Kenneth served in the military in Norfolk, Va., NOV 1982. He was with the Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron 123 out of Norfolk, Va., where he was an administrative officer, receiving an award for leading the best squadron in the fleet. In November 1985 he was transferred to Navy Recruiting Area Three in Macon, Ga., where he ended his career as the chief administrator for the Southeastern U.S. Navy Recruiting Command.

Kenneth retired from the military in Macon, Bibb County, Ga., 11 MAY 1990. Fleet Reserve retirement ceremony, U.S. Navy after a 27-year career, during which he won numerous awards and medals.

He resided in Jacksonville, Fla. after MAY 1990. Kenneth and Portia planned to divide their time between Jacksonville and King's Bay, Ga.
