West Central Georgia Ellingtons: Fourth Generation 80. Lloyd Jefferson4 ELLINGTON (John Perry3, Thomas Jefferson2, Andrew Willerby1) was born in Upson County, Ga. 28 DEC 1884. Lloyd died 10 APR 1928 in Culloden, Monroe County, Ga., at 43 years of age. Loyd was buried by his wife, according to Stephens Funeral Home records. His body was interred after 10 APR 1928 in Culloden, Monroe County, Ga., Culloden City Cemetery.

He married Evie Belle TORBERT Ellington in Monroe County, Ga., 22 JAN 1905. Book G Page 633; license issued Jan. 9; J.D. Dumas, J.P., performed the ceremony. Evia was born in Georgia 2 DEC 1888. She was the daughter of James Pickens TORBERT and Fannie Worril MANN Torbert. Evia died 23 AUG 1959 at 70 years of age.

Loyd J. Ellington was the head of a family on the 1910 Census in Yatesville, Upson County, Ga.. Yatesville Road, Unionville District; Loyd J., 25, married 4 years; farmer on his own account renting farm 18; could read and write; Evia, 20, two children one living, no occupation; could read and write; Wm. Floyd, 3. The family was next door to John Perry and Alice Ellington.

He resided in Delray, Ga. FEB 1924
