14. Maggie⁴ McRAE Ellington (Robert Edward³, Stephen Bogen², W.C.¹) was born in Thomaston, Upson County, Ga. 31 JUL 1903. Birtdate also given as 1902 (SS death index) May have been 1904, according to census records. Maggie died 5 JUN 1974 in Upson County, Ga., at 70 years of age of emphysema. Her body was interred 7 JUN 1974 in Thomaston, Upson County, Ga., Southview Cemetery.
She married Ira Lawson ELLINGTON sr in Upson County, Ga., 2 FEB 1921. Ira saw Maggie working in a field and asked his father if he could marry her. When Edd said yes, he asked Maggie if she would come cook for him. When she agreed they went to the courthouse and got married. License received 3 Sept. 1920.

Ira was born in Upson County, Ga. 21 NOV 1890. He was the son of William Madison ELLINGTON and Mildred Julia Leola COX Ellington.. Ira died 2 MAY 1978 in Thomaston, Upson County, Ga., at 87 years of age. His body was interred after 2 MAY 1978 in Thomaston, Upson County, Ga., Southview Cemetery.
