He married Beulah Mae WILSON Pollard after 1923. Beulah was born in Brooks County, Ga. about 1903. Beulah died 26 DEC 1995 in Thomaston, Upson County, Ga., at Upson Regional Medical Center. Her body was interred 28 DEC 1995 in Thomaston, Upson County, Ga., Southview Cemetery. Coggins Funeral Home. She had 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren at the time of her death.
Grady resided in South Georgia after 1919. Family lore says that after the birth of his daughter Estelle he moved to family-owned land in South Georgia where the Selfs were wont to go upon getting into trouble in Upson County. This was called "crossing the river." Could this be the Dooly County location where Andrew J. Self lived in 1850?
Grady was married to and divorced from Mamie CLEVELAND Pollard Patterson before 1923.
He resided in Upson County, Ga. before MAR 1935. In the Smiths Locals column of the Thomaston Times: Mr. Lawson Self took supper with Mr. Grady Pollard on Saturday night.
