with Anderson Knight, his brother (1880 Bell Co., TX Census.) He died on 24 Jun 1943 in
Runge, Karnes Co., TX.

His grave is located on Lot #129, S.E.

According to family legend, when he was 19, his father gave him a team of horses and a wagon and told him, "go and make your way."
He was married to Sarah Maye BYLES on 14 Nov 1883 in Texas.5

Maye BYLES5 was born about 1866 in
Missouri.15 She died on 13 Jan 1890 in Bell Co., TX.5,6
My grandfather's mother died when he was 18 months old. She had
a case of the Red Measles and never recovered. She was also known as Sallie (family knowledge
and Bible records). Aunt Glenna remembers a letter that was sent from the state of Washington
from the Biles after Sarah's death.

James Walter KNIGHT was born on 24 Oct 1884 in Bell Co.,
TX.6 He married Maggie Dee Layton on 2 Jan 1912 in Runge,
TX. Walter and Maggie had five children, two daughters and three sons. He died on 11
Aug 1967 in Runge, Karnes Co., TX.6 He was called
Walter Knight.4 I remember Uncle Walter. They
lived just down the road and around the corner from my Grandpa Knight. Uncle Walter is buried
in the Runge Cemetery, Karnes Co., TX.

Nancy Maye KNIGHT was born on 28 Apr 1887 in Prairie Dell, Bell Co.,
TX.6 She married James "Frank" Morgan on 29
Sep 1912 in Runge, TX. She and Frank had three sons. She died on 17 Jun 1967in Refurio Co.,
TX.6 She was called Nannie.16
