42. Burrell BLANTON33 was born on 20 Aug 1810 in Rutherford Co., NC.53 Later Cleveland Co., NC. Cleveland Co., NC came into being in 1841. He appeared on the census in 1830 in Monroe Co., TN. From Census Index. Burrell was named in a Deed from Lewis Blanton to Beril (sic) Blanton "land to the extent of the Will of Clabourn Blanton"on 15 Mar 1833 in Monroe Co., TN.136 He was named in a Deed from Jefferson Blanton to Berril Blanton, "land to the extent of the Will of Clabourn Blanton" on 20 Mar 1833 in Monroe Co., TN.136 He appeared on the census in Oct 1850 in Monroe Co., TN.107 He is named in a Deed from the Administrators of the estate of William P. H. McDermott for land Burrell Blanton bought from the deceased during the lifetime of the deceased, on 27 Oct 1852 in Monroe Co., TN.136 He appeared on the census in Jun 1860 in Monroe Co., TN.151 He was buried in Jan 1897 in Sweetwater, Monroe Co., TN.53

James W. Bradly, one yrs old. Family #805- 826 is Richard Marshall. 23, and wife Sarah C.(Blanton)
Marshall, age 20, and their first child Charles M. Marshall, age 2 months.
#804-825 is James W. Bradly, age 29 & wife Mary J. Bradly, 21, dau Lora E.,2 yrs, and Mary
I. Bradly, 1 months, which is why young James is staying with Robert Blanton, as Mary J. Bradly was
Mary Jane Blanton, sister of Robert & Sarah. Mary has a young baby, and the family is keeping
the small boy, probably until Mary recovers a bit.(Nice to have family close by.)
#808-829 is Washington Isbill, age 30, and wife Elizabeth, age 28. Elizabeth's maiden name was
Blanton, and they have dau Rachel J., 6, dau Mary, 4, and son, J. Buchanan Isbill, age 1. He died
on 31 Dec 1896 in Monroe Co., TN.151

43. Mary Caroline TATE was born about 1811 in Virginia.53 She died on 15 Jun 1863 in Monroe Co., TN.53 She was also known as Polly.53

Claibourne Jefferson BLANTON was born on 29 Oct 1829 in Monroe Co.,
TN.33 He married Margaret Ellen Morrow on 5
Sep 1850 in Monroe Co., TN. Claibourne and Ellen had a family of seven children. He died in
May 1866.33

Robert C. BLANTON was born in about 1832 or 1833 in Monroe Co.,
TN. Robert married Sarah Caroline Marshall about 1855. They had a family of ten
children. Robert and family were on the census in Jun 1860 in Monroe Co.,
TN.151 He served in the military between 1861 and
1865 in Tennessee.152 Robert C. Blanton is shown on
the Roster of the 37th TN Infantry (Confederate.) He died in Apr 1879 in Monroe Co.,
TN. His family was in Bastrop Co., TX in 1880, where they are shown on
Census.153

Elizabeth Annis BLANTON was born on 2 Aug 1835 in Monroe Co.,
TN.107 Elizabeth married George Washington Isbill
about 1851 in Monroe Co., TN. She died on 26 Mar 1916 in Monroe Co., TN. She was called
Lizzie.154 Lizzie and Washington had a
family of ten children. She is buried in the Rocky Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mary Jane BLANTON was born on 23 May 1838 in Monroe Co.,
TN.33 Mary married James W. Bradley on 3 Jan 1856 in Monroe
Co., TN. Mary and James moved to Travis Co., TX before 1880. The family was on the 1880
Travis Co., Census. Mary and James had a family of twelve children. She died on 14 Nov
1904 in Runnells Co., TX and was buried in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Mills Co.,
TX. 53

John Tate BLANTON was born on 12 Oct 1844 in
Tennessee.33 John married Adeline Roberson about 1863 in
Monroe Co., TN. John and Adeline had a family of twelve children. He served in the military
between 1861 and 1865 in Tennessee.152 It appears
that he served first with the Confederacy and then later served with the Union. He died on 10
Mar 1899 in Monroe Co., TN.33 He is buried in the
Westend Cemetery, Sweetwater, Monroe Co., TN.

Nancy Dialtha BLANTON was born in 1847 in Monroe Co.,
TN.151 She died in
Texas.33 Nancy married Lemuel Decatur "Kate"
Ashley Payne on 26 Apr 1863 in Monroe Co., TN. Nancy and Kate had a family of seven
children. Nancy and family moved to Travis Co., TX before 1880. The family was on the
1880 Travis Co., TX Census. Decatur Payne was on the Special Veterans Census of 1890 in
Travis Co., TX. Nancy lived for a time, after the death of her husband Kate Payne, in Karnes
Co., TX where her sister Sarah Marshall were living.33
