The children shown as the children of James Martin and thereby siblings of Mary Martin are tentative, based on the information I have.

Children were:

child41 i. Mary Ann MARTIN
child ii.
Rueben MARTIN was born about 1798 in North Carolina.  Estimated only.  He moved about 1823 to Lauderdale Co., AL.  That fact is based on Rhoda Martin who married Jesse B. Wooten being 27, on 1850 Census, with state of birth in TN, and Rueben's daughter,  Mary Martin, who married Peter R. Garner, being 26, on 1850 Census, born in AL. He died before 1849 in Lauderdale Co., AL.  Date of death estimated based on the fact that the Power of Attorney, signed by wife Elizabeth and children was dated 1849 in Lauderdale Co., AL, Rueben shown as dec'd. He is named as an heir in Estate papers of James Martin, who died by or before 1835.

This Deed establishes his wife and family:  McLean Co., IL, DB O, Pg 361.

A Deed to Rachel Karr, land description corresponding is found in McLean Co., IL; DB P, Pgs 378, 379; April 9, 1851. The signatures by Power of Attorney are signed by Campbell Wakefield.
child iii. Francis MARTIN33. Francis Martin is named on a bill to the Estate of James Martin for work done on Land owned by the estate in 1835.  He may have been dec'd by that date, as the invoice shows to the Estate of James Martin to Francis Martin, dec'd.
child iv.
Jessie MARTIN33. Jesse is mentioned in notification of the death of James Martin in Illinois.
child v.
Franklin MARTIN33 was born about 1811.  Some question as to the exact name, whether it was Franklin or Francis or perhaps another son Francis.
A document filed with the Probate Officer of McLean county signed by Franklin Martin and Mary Martin, who I believe was his wife, gives his administration of the Estate of James Martin to a Hiram (Hyram) Buck; Oct 6, 1835.  I assume in McLean Co., IL since county of signature not given.
