Rueben MARTIN was born about 1798 in North Carolina.
Estimated only. He
moved about 1823 to Lauderdale Co., AL. That fact is based on Rhoda Martin who married Jesse
B. Wooten being 27, on 1850 Census, with state of birth in TN, and Rueben's
daughter, Mary Martin,
who married Peter R. Garner, being 26, on 1850 Census, born in AL. He died before
1849 in Lauderdale Co., AL. Date of death estimated based on the fact that the
Power of Attorney, signed by wife Elizabeth and children was dated 1849 in Lauderdale
Co., AL, Rueben shown as dec'd. He is named as an heir in Estate papers of James
Martin, who died by or before 1835.

McLean Co., IL since county of signature not given.
