Isaac Tate is shown as being born in TN. William Robert Tate, who went by the name of Robert, appeared on the Census in 1850 in Monroe Co., TN.107 He died on 10 Nov 1866 in Monroe Co., TN.53 He was buried in the Hopewell Cemetery, Madisonville, Monroe Co., TN.33

87. Elizabeth HESS was born about 1790 in Tennessee.53 On the Census index, she was born in TN. I believe she was born in VA, and the Census records are in error. Mary C. Tate, daughter of William Robert and Elizabeth Tate, indicated that she, with a birth year of about 1811, was born in Virginia.
