Welcome to the Chalky Level website!

The Cox and Greer families came to Georgia from Virginia after the Revolution, along with many others.

Thomas Greer and his brother-in-law Richard Cox came to Athens, in the newly created Clarke County, to help build the Old College, the first permanent building on the campus of Franklin College, now the University of Georgia. Their handwork still stands and is in daily use, over 200 years later.

More soon!
