The Story: Phebe was a member of the St. Paul's Anglican church in Woodstock. At the of her death, she had been sick for 3 months with pneumonia and heart trouble. She was a member of the Old St. Paul's Church in Woodstock and had no family While she and her husband were not well off financially, the tombstone that Thomas put up was very large and tall. Phebe married Thomas (Tom) Chance, son of Coporal John Chance and Elizabeth (Eliza) Bennett, in , , Ontario. (Thomas (Tom) Chance was born on 6 Oct 1844 in Burford Township, Brant Co., Ontario,3 4 died on 1 Jan 1933 in Woodstock, Oxford Co., Ontario, Canada 5 and was buried on 3 Jan 1933 in Anglican Cemetery, Woodstock, Oxford Co., Ontario.) |
