Robert and Anna CoxThis family was on the go! In 1880 they lived in Fayette County and by 1900 Anna and her children moved to Johnstown, Cambria County. Their grandchildren split between Johnstown, Confluence(Somerset County), and Pittsburgh(Allegheny County).Descendants of Robert and Anna Cox Generation No. 1 1. ROBERT COX was born Abt. 1852 in Pennsylvania, and died February 11, 1881 in Cambria County, Pennsylvania. He married ANNA. She was born Abt. 1856 in Pennsylvania, and died October 19, 1915 in Cambria County, Pennsylvania. Children of ROBERT COX and ANNA are: 2. i. SAMUEL COX, b. Abt. 1880, Pennsylvania; d. Unknown. ii. Dec, 1972 Allegheny County vi. ESTHER COX, b. Unkown. I am interested in the parents of Robert and Anna. My current interest is a Joseph Cox, also in Fayette County in 1880. This Joseph Cox appears to be on the move just as Robert and his children were. He lived in Clinton County in 1850, Blair County in 1860, and Huntingdon County in 1870 before stopping in Fayette County. However, there is still another Cox family of Fayette County that could be related to Robert. This would be the descendents of Michael Cox, Sr. of Fayette County. This family makes up the majority of Cox's in Fayette County during the 1800's. I have determined that my Robert Cox is not the same as Robert Bruce Cox of this family. But we may be related as the names of Joseph, Robert and Samuel are common to both families. |
