Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Shawnee Chapel of Chiles and Sons-Laman Funeral Home, for Irene G. Armentrout, 93, of Lima. She died at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 1990 at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.

She was born May 29, 1897, in Allen County, the daughter of John and Emma Alexander Bowersock. She was married to Jack Armentrout, who died in 1955.

Mrs. Armentrout was the owner/operator of Irene's Shade Shop. She was the past president of the order of the Eastern Star, El Karan Grotto, White Shrine, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of First United Brethren Church and church organist for many years.

Survivors include one step-daughter, Mrs. Brice (Bettie) Vermillion of Lima; one great-niece, Mrs. Chris (Ellen) Baker of Lima and one great-nephew, James Easton of Las Vegas, Nev., who helped in the care of her.

Rev. Edwin C. Borneli will officiate the services. Burial will be in Allentown Cemetery.

Friends may call until 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
