JOEANN D. HARNISHFEGER, 73, died at 9:58 p.m. Feb. 16, 2007, at St. Rita's
Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 12, 1934, in LaGrange, Ind., to Clayton and Cuba Stevens,
who preceded her in death. On May 25, 1960, she married Bill Harnishfeger, who
survives.
Mrs. Harnishfeger was a secretary for the Lima City Schools. She was
previously employed at the Old Barn Out Back as a waitress and hostess. She
was a member of Faith Temple, Lima, where she was church organist for more
than 40 years. She loved the Lord Jesus and her family with all her heart.
Survivors also include six sons, Alan S. Harnishfeger, of Lima, Danny Joe (Lynell)
Stevens, of Lima, Frank A. (Diane) Harnishfeger, of Columbus Grove, William S.
(Dianna) Harnishfeger, of Lima, Michael A. (Barb) Harnishfeger, of Ada, and
Joseph R. (Lynette) Harnishfeger ,of Lima; a brother, Clayton Stevens, of
Schoolcraft, Mich.; and 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Shawnee Chapel. The Rev.
Larry Turner will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to
services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the new building fund for Faith Temple.
