John Henry Warren, 80, of Arjay, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born on April 17, 1926 the son of the late Osco Warren and Lucy Taylor Warren Lawson. He believed in the Holiness faith and had been a coal miner at Eastover Mining. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Danny Saylor, step-father, Doc Lawson, sister, Mollie Leger and brothers, Gordon, Lannie, Curtis, William Henry Warren and George Taylor. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Hazel Mae Smith Warren, children, Orville Warren, Wilma and Gene Saylor and Jewell and Matthew Cox; grandchildren, Brian Saylor, Georgia Kay Saylor, Jamie Saylor, Jody Saylor, Brittany Saylor and Melissa Cox; great-grandchildren, Angela Saylor, Alison Saylor, Jody Saylor, Jacob Saylor, Austin Cox and Madison Cox; brother, Warden Lawson of Florida and sisters, Helen Maise of Dayton, OH and Amanda Lynch of Lexington; special cousin, Gathel Kelly and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Wagner, Mr. Roy Wagner and Rev. Luther Collett. Music will be by Julie Wagner, Rosemary Jones and Marlene Wagner. Burial will be in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens with grandsons and members of the church serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jai, Jay Steele, Grover Brock and Terrell Gibson.
