the person applying for letters of administration upon the Estate of
Ambrose D. Foster as appears by petition filed herein: That according
to the best for affiant's knowledge, information and belief, the said
Ambrose D. Foster left at the time of his death, five heirs, whose
names, ages and place of residence are as Follows:
Martha Ann aged about 18 years,
Mary Jane aged about 16 years,
Catharine aged about 14 years (1 by seners)??,
John aged about 9 years and
Robert Foster aged about 7 years-children of said deceased and
petitioner.
That said deceased died without a will. That the property, and
personal of said deceased is probably about the value of Fourteen
Hundred dollars. That affiant having been appointed administrator of

inventory of, and will faithfully administer all the estate of said
deceased: will pay the debts against the same, so far as the assets
shall extend, and the law directs, and will account for and pay and
all assets and money's which come to her possession on knowledge as

Susan Nord REDMON was born on 18 Dec 1845 in Sangamon County, Illinois. She appeared in the census in 1880 in Beaver, Taney, Missouri, USA.2360 She appeared in the census in 1900 in Cleveland, Dewey, Oklahoma.2361 She died on 15 Jul 1917 in Rhea, Dewey Co OK. She was buried in Prairie Belle Cemetery, Putnam, Dewey, Oklahoma. LaQuet Weber wrote that Susan Nord Redmon was the mother of the rest of Ambrose's children--don't know if this is the same Susan or not. The Illinois Statewide Marriage Index has Ambrose's wife registered as Susan Haron. Another search done Nov. 9, 2007 for Redmon/Redmond comes up empty.

There was a child named Susan Redman in 1850 Sangamon Co., IL census , whose mother's maiden name was Norred. Perhaps she had married a Herring first, then Ambrose. More research is needed.

The wife of Ambrose Clayton named Susanna Nord Redmon, possibly Susanna Norred Redman, was born 18 dec 1845 and died 15 July 1917. (Oklahoma death records do not show her as dying in their state between 1908 and 1919 under the name of Susanna Clayton).

Ambrose and family moved to Dewey Co. OK from Missouri. Ambrose died 26 May 1914, supposedly at Putnam, Dewey Co., OK, and both are buried in Prairie Belle Cemetery, Putnam, Dewey Co., OK. Their children were: Willard, Ambrose Gilbert, Farras H, Lynn B, Annie and Sabina Clayton.

She died eight years after arriving in Oregon. The cemetery where she
is buried has other markers inscribed with: Infant child (3), Irene
