Abraham DUZAN was born about 1763. He appeared in the census in 1776 in Harford Co., Maryland.1212 He appeared in the census in 1810 in Mason, Mason, Kentucky.1213 He appeared in the census in 1830 in Mason, Eastern Div., Kentucky.1214 He died after 1834. Elizabeth Anno married Abraham Duzan in December 1795 in Mason
County, Kentucky This is the first record for Elizabeth Anno I found
in the records. A number of family histories link Henry, John,
William, Sarah, and Elisabeth Anno as brothers and sisters. These
sources also list their parents as Joseph and Esther Anno. The death
notice for William Anno of Mason County, Kentucky lists his parents as
Joseph and Esther Anno. I have found no sources to link the other
Annos' to Joseph and Esther. This link was probably established
because the Annos' were married over a short span of years in Mason
County, Kentucky. Also, John and Henry Anno moved to Ross County,
Ohio, and they established homesteads in Green Township in the early
1800's. In the mid 1830's the wife of Henry Anno, and children of John
Anno, and Sarah (Anno) Ritter purchased land in Menard County,
Illinois. In the 1840's the children of John Anno and William Anno
moved to Missouri. These Annos' are probably related, but I have not
found any records linking them as brothers and sisters. Additional
research in the archives of Maryland and Kentucky needs to be
performed to establish this link.

There are thirteen Duzan's listed in the 1776 Colonial census for
Maryland. They are located in Spesutia Lower 100, Hartford County.
Based on location and their ages (sounds familiar) they are probably
one family. Peter Duzan, Sr., age 52, is the oldest. He would have
been born 1724. There were no women close to this age group. The ages
of the other twelve Duzan's ranged from one to twenty-seven years
(John 27, Rachel 27, Alexander 25, Elizabeth 16 , Abraham 13, Ezekiah
9, Peter, Jr. 11, Ezekial 6, William 6, Nathaniel 5, Elizabeth 3, and
John 1).

There is an Abraham Duzan, age thirteen, listed in the census. He
would have been born in 1763. His father was probably Peter Duzan.
Also, listed in Maryland is a Peter Duzan age eleven. A Peter Duzan,
Jr. married Elizabeth Eukley on December 23, 1790 in Mason County,
Kentucky. Based on this information the Duzan family moved to Kentucky
on or before 1790. There is a Peter Duzan, age 52 farmer, listed in
the 1850 federal census for Mason County, Kentucky. He is listed as
being born in Maryland in 1798.

There may have been some movement of the families back and forth
between Kentucky and Maryland. This is probably the third generation
of Peter Duzan. Alexander Duzan, Jacob Duzan, John Duzan, Peter Duzan,
and Abraham Duzan are listed on the 1800 tax lists for Mason County,
Kentucky. There is also a Jacob Duzan listed in Nicholas County. The
1810 census for Kentucky lists Abraham Duzan, Hezekah Duzan, and two
John Duzans in Mason County. In Nicholas County there were William
Duzan and Jacob Duzan. Jacob Duzan was of 45 years of age or older.
Abraham Duzan and wife listed in the 1810 federal census for Mason
County, Kentucky were both listed as 45 years of age or older. This
makes both their births at or before 1765. There are seven children
listed in the household. One boy and two girls under ten years of age
are listed. There are two boys and one girl of ten years of age and
under sixteen years of age. The last child is of sixteen years of age
and under twenty-six years. One John Duzan in 1810 is listed as 45
years of age or older. There are two women living in the household
listed as 45 years of age or older. The second John Duzan is of 26
years of age and under 45 years of age. Hezekiah Duzan is of sixteen
years of age and under 26 years. The 1820 Federal census for Mason
County, Kentucky lists a Ben Duzan, E. Duzan, William Duzan and Peter
Duzan. The 1830 census for Mason County lists an Abraham Duzan and
Samuel Duzan. A Samuel Duzan married Margaret Johnson February 20,
1823 in Mason County, Kentucky.

On December 10, 1834, Abraham Duzan and Elizabeth his wife, of Mason
County, sold to James White, of the same place, for $450.00, 134.5
acre.

Family Notes:
Stephen (Possible by location & date) Fuller
Birth: bef 1775, New York
Death: aft 1820

In the 1810 Federal census for Kentucky there are seven Fuller families. None of the Fullers were listed as living in Mason County, Kentucky. There are 14 Fuller families listed in the 1820 Federal census for Kentucky. A William Fuller and a Stephen Fuller are living in Mason County, Kentucky. In Williams household there is one male 26 to 45 years of age born 1775 to 1794. The next oldest male is 18 to 26 years of age born 1794 to 1802. The remaining male was less than ten years of age born between 1810 and 1820. There was only one female living in the household over 45 years of age, born before 1775. 1 A William Fuller married Nancy Cole on November 2, 1815 in Mason County, Kentucky.2 There were no males living in the household born before 1810. William could be a brother to Stephen or Solomon. Additional research is needed.

Stephen Fuller and his wife were both over 45 years of age born before 1775. There are five males and four females living in the household in 1820. The males are as follows: one over 45 born before 1775, one male 18 to 26 years of age born between 1794 and 1802, one male 16 to 18 years of age born 1802 to 1804, and one male 10 to 16 years of age born between 1804 and 1810, and the youngest male was 10 years of age and younger. The oldest female was over 45 years of age born before 1775, the next female was 26 to 45 years of age born between 1775 and 1794, one female was 10 to 16 years of age born between 1804 and 1810, and the youngest female was ten years of age or less.

I have found no direct link between Stephen, William or Solomon Fuller other than location in Mason County, Kentucky in the 1820-30 time frame. I have listed Stephen as Solomons father only because there was a male in the household born between 1804 and 1810. Additional research is needed to determine if a relationship exists between these three men. I am leaving Stephen as Solomons father as a starting point. Additional research in Mason County may determine the link, if any. The wills, tax records, marriage records, and land sales would be valuable resources to sort out the FullerÕs. If the names of Solomon FullerÕs parents can be confirmed that research in New York could be initiated.

There were five Fuller males married in Mason County, Kentucky between 1815 and 1850: William 1815, Solomon 1826, Harrison 1839, Benjamin 1842, and Anno 1850. 2 I am listing the four oldest males under Stephen Fuller as sons. This captures the men for additional research. If they can be located in the 1850 census the location of their birth would be of interest. I have also added holding spots for the three females listed in the 1820 census.

In the 1820 Census for Mason County, Kentucky, there is a William Fuller listed on page 62. There are three males living in the household: one male 26 to 45 years of age born 1775-1794, one male 18-26 years of age 1794-1802, and one male 10 years of age or younger. William could be either of the older males. There is one female living in the home that is over 45 years of age born before 1775. There appears to be the possibility that William's wife died shortly after their marriage. Additional research is needed to link William to Solomon. I did not locate a William Fuller in the 1830 census for Mason County, Kentucky.

Birth: 4 Oct 1827, Kentucky7,6
Death: 14 Dec 1916, Timber Creek, Marshall Co., Iowa6,5
Burial: Timber Creek Cemetery6
Occ: farmer

Stephen Fuller is living in Bracken County, Kentucky in the 1850 Federal census. He is listed as a 23 year old farmer born in Kentucky. He has no value listed for real estate. He was either renting a farm or helping out Solomon. Leticia is listed as 24 years of age also born in Kentucky. The couple has two male children in 1850: William age 2 born in Kentucky, and Henry age 1 born in Kentucky.

In 1860 Stephen is living in Marshal County, Iowa. He is listed as 33 years of age born in Kentucky. His wife is listed as 23 years of age born in Kentucky. This age does not match up with other census records, am I believe it to be an error. There are three children living at home in 1860: Wm age 12 born Kentucky, H. A. , son, age 10 born in Kentucky and M. S., daughter, age 5 born in Kentucky. 8

In 1870 Stephen is still living in Marshall County, Iowa. Stephen is listed as a 43 year old farmer born in Kentucky. Death: 1912, Marengo, Columbia, WA10
Occ: farmer

Anno Fuller married Melvinia Duzan on February 12, 1850 in Mason county, Kentucky. Anno fuller and Daniel Duzan signed the marriange form.

In the 1850 census Anno Fuller is living in District No. 2, Mason County, Kentucky. Anno is listed as a 21 years old farmer born in Kentucky. There is no real estate value listed in the census. His wife Melvinia is listed as 23 years of age born in Kentucky. There is one daughter living in the household named Toclicia, age 4 years. Anno Fuller and Melvinia were married in 1850. This child is from an earlier marriage. As Melvinia is 3 years older than Anno Fuller, this daughter appears to be from an earlier marriage of hers.

In the 1860 Federal Census Anno Fuller is living in Marshall County, Iowa. He is listed as 30 years of age born in Kentucky. His wife listed as M. is 33 years of age born in Kentucky. There are four daughters and two sons living in the household in 1860; Terressa, daughter, age 13 born in Kentucky, A. M. ,daughter, age 9 born Kentucky, J. W.., son, age 7 born in Kentucky, M.A., daughter, age 5 born in Kentucky, M. E., daughter, age 3 born in Iowa, and H. S., son, age 2 born in Iowa. This places their move from Bracken County, Kentucky to Marshall County, Iowa about 1855-56.8

In 1880 Anno Fuller is living in Columbia County, Washington Territory. Columbia County was created in November 11, 1875 from the Eastern part of Walla Walla County. Pioneers attempting to settle in this area in 1855 were forced to leave by hostile Indiana. It was not until 1859 that settlers moved back into the area. Anno Fuller and family moved into the area sometime between 1860 and 1880. I checked the 1870 census for Walla Walla County for Anno Fuller, but I did not locate the family. Anno is listed in 1880 as a 51-year-old farmer. His wife Melvinia is listed as 52 years of age. Two of their sons are living with them in 1880. James W. Fuller, age 27 is listed as a farmer born in Kentucky. Henry s. Fuller age 21 is living at home. Henry was also born in Kentucky. Lsatsy (hard to read) age 17 born in Oregon is living with the family. She is listed as a daughter-in-law. She is listed just after Henry S. in the family. At a guess she is William or Henry's wife. Susanna C, Fuller age 2 and Laura B. Fuller, age 8 months are living with Anno Fuller. They are listed as his nices. Based on this information, it appears that one of his brothers came to Washington Territory with Anno Fuller. 11 Edward Fuller is located as a boarder on the next page of the census in 1880. This accounts for all three of Anno fuller's sons in 1880. The daughters have either married or died.

In the June 15, 1900, Federal Census an Anno Fuller and Melvina are living in Marengo, Washington. He is listed as a gardener, 71 years of age. His father is listed as being born in New York and his mother in Kentucky.4
