Introduction Welcome and thank you for stopping by. In the future, I hope for this site to include, family news, updates, photos or drawings, and genealogy info. Please send in anything you might want to contribute. This page will be added to regularly and updates will be added as requires, so check back. Our Childs family has ties to a number of significant events in American history. We have several direct ancestors among the Pilgrims, and were also represented at Jamestown Colony, the witch trials of Salem in 1692, and in every major war. We are descendants of people who ventured ro unsettled land and developed towns, such as Salisbury, Newbury, and Haverhill. Our history really is America's history! In an effort to maintain a hint of privacy, full names will not be used within this site. vvv

Update:Kasey's First Communion is in May. We hope to see you there, or better yet at the party right after! News of the war is inescapable these days. During training, before the fighting officially began, William Tracy, grandson of Foster Edward Childs, was killed in army helicopter crash. Read story here. Kasey's bowling team, Girlz Rule, came in first place, with Kasey herself rolling the strike that won the game. Next up is the banquet, including the trophies handed out to the teams. She is very excited! It's that time of year again. First Communion reminders are everywhere. Only this season, Kasey will be among those making their Holy Communion for the first time. She is learning along with her class what will happen on that day, and what it will all mean. And of course the search is on for that one perfect dress. Kasey had actually designed her own, but it was decided to be too colorful for this occasion. All white is too boring ("Where's the pizzaz?" she says) but she will have to make do. In a side note, Kasey made her first confession a couple weeks ago, and was given a special pin by the church to commemorate the event. Spring time is near, which means baseball is coming up. And softball. It's the latter that Kasey looks forward to. She was on the softball team last year and intends to be on it again this year. Her friend's father will be the coach. Last year Scott served as the unofficial coach. Never mind the fact he doesn't know a thing about softball. The kids didn't seem to mind. As for Kasey, she's already practicing the team cheer, which she sings will happily bouncing around the house (or jumping on the bed when no one is looking!). Happy Birthdays  Don't forget to send in your birthday announcements or special messages!
