Hi, my name is Roselle Kwan and I am from the Philippines, I am actually just curious about our family tree, and whether we are related to general kwan. all i know is that my grandfather came from china, he spoke cantonese, and lived in macau. I dont know what village he is from. He was born 1909 and he had 4 children there with his first wife, after she died, he left china and travelled to the philippines in the late 1940s. That is where he met and married my grandmother (also a chinese). I have no idea whether the children he left behind in Macau are still alive. I wish I could ask him more about our lineage but my grandfather died last 1991 at the age of 82. Please let me know if you or your forefathers happen to know him. My grandfather had two names - Kwan Sia Yee and Kwan Kokling. He had a half brother named Kwan Kwai who also migrated with him to the philippines and re-married.
