Toh is actually Zhou, Most of the toh family came to South-east Asia from a village in Xiamen known as Nan'an (to-day's name).

Toh's ancestory was further divided into two known as "inner Toh" and "Outer Toh".

If you want to know whether you have any ancestry link in China, you have to made a visit to Nan'an. I understand that the jaipu would indicate the name of the person migrating to SE Asia. It would show his brothers and sons in China and SE Asia.

What I have understood is that the first family member of Toh's family migrated to Singapore should well above 100 years old (if still around).

If you are in Singapore, perhaps you can look at a copy version of jiapu for some of the migrants to Singapore, in a Toh"s ancestry temple in Keng Lee Road.

I have made a trip to Anci some time in early April 2008. Athough the place was near to Nan'an, I did not make a trip to find out my ancestry.

I hope to make a trip there late to search for my grand father family line.
