Hi Rini,

I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I know quite
a bit about Chinese culture and language. I
happen to know something about the Mak family.
According to old genealogy, Mak originally
came from Kung. Long time ago, one of
the descendents of Kung had to escape persecution
from Northern China, so he moved to the South and
changed his last name to Mak. That's why Mak is
primarily a Southern name. You can hardly find
any Mak in Northern China.

I have a website and e-mail to help people with
questions about Chinese culture, etc.. I might be
able to help you with your grandma's name for a
small fee. I might even do it for free if you can
refer more people to me!

My Website: http://www.webspawner.com/users/danmak99
My e-mail: [email protected]

Sincerely,
Thinker
