Hi Roselle, are you looking up your family roots? My last name is Yap also. We are of Hakka origin. My grandfather's name is Yap Young. His Chinese name is Jhun Jeuk. He came from a village in China called Loong Boi Liang -"Dragon Back Ridge" and immigrated to the West Indies. As I understand it, the "first member" of my Yap family came from an area in the Province of Fu Kien, China. ???? What type of information do you have on the Yaps?
