Hi Pat,

I believe that the name "Ta-Min" was originally a 3-part Hakka Chinese name. When people emigrated elsewhere, it was shortened to something more pronouncable, thus the name "Ta-Min".

: Dear Anyone,

: Is there anybody out there that can give me any history or information whatsoever on the surname:
: Ta-Min.

: This can include links to any relations in the rest of the world, regional relationships to China and origins of the name.

: All that I have been told by the family is that we are part of the Hakka people of China. I believe that this is the Chinese name for the modern Cantonese people.

: You can send me an e-mail to: [email protected]
