JWC Low is located in San Francisco, CA. USA.

RE your research: Have you tried to contact family; get help from Chinese community historian(s) for Chinese translations; Latter Day Saints family history center for Guangdong province, Canton aka "Guangchou" (Taishan is outside of Guangchou); the Presbyterian and Anglican Church Archives for Australia
?significance of your biography subject.
Jean (I don't routinely check past inquiries usually).

: Unfortunately, no JCC Low in Australia and no Chinese genealogy research lists etc. I am writing biography of Cheok Hong CHEONG (his preferred name order). His father was Cheong Peng-nam. The family is from Taishan District, Guangdong Province. Peng-nam arrived Victorian goldfields c1854. Brought family from China 1863. Family active in (a) Presbyterian (1860-1885) (b) Anglican Church 1885 on. Anyone out there can help shed light. Victorian Public Record Office has inward shipping lists for Chinese but names are confused and there is no clear indication of Peng-anm's arrival.
