It's very hard to determine origin of name based on the English transliteration. I've put what the origin based on what I've seen from friends etc. Not guaranteed to be accurate.

Note: In Thailand and Indonesia, Chinese are not allowed to keep their surnames. They have to change to a Thai or Indonesian one.
