Do you have the character? Jew is the Toi San/Hoi Ping pronounciation for the Cantonese Chow or Chiu. If it is Chow (Mandarin Zhou) you could look it up on www.chineseroots.com to see the origin of the name. If you're looking for more information on where he was from try his gravestone. If he was a Chow you might try the family association Gee Tuck Sam Tuck, I believe they have a branch in Arizona.
