Hokkien emigration to North Borneo

I'm looking for anyone with Hokkien ancestors who emigrated to North Borneo from China in roughly the late 1800s.

My great-great grandfather was one of them with the surname Tay. I have not much information about this ancestor as my grandfather passed away when I was very young and didn't tell the rest of his family much anyway!

I would like to get in touch with people who share the same problem and who are interested in finding their ancestral roots.
