As far as I know my surname is from Hokkien origin; my ancestors came from Fujian/ Hokkien and went (1800-1850) to Indonesia; my father emigrated 35 years ago to the Netherlands. Because we are expecting our first baby (probably a boy) next january, we would like to know more about our surname etc. in order to choose a proper Chinese name. Most books on Chinese names are for Mandarin names unfortunately. Can anybody get me more information on names from Hokkien origin or specifically on our name.
