My great-uncles immigrated to Mexico City from Canton (Guangzhou) and Hong Kong and their last name was Chow, but changed to Chio Loo in Mexico City. The reasons they immigrated to Mexico City was b/c they had an uncle there. One great-uncle passed away about 25 years ago or more I believe. He would have been mid to late 80's I believe. He married a Mexican lady with 1 son and had a son and daughter (I think).
I still have a great-uncle living there. He has 3 children, in their late-20's early 30's. This is the first time I've ever seen this surname outside of my uncle. I don't know if we're related or if they're from the same village. Most likely same village.
