: Can you provide a little more information about where your gf came from in China and where he immigrated to, or the dialect spoken?

: : Please....If anyone has heard of the Keik name and has any ideas that would be wonderous. My grand-fathers name is Gan Fong Keik born around the 1920's. We are few indeed and any history would be most pleasurable to know. Thanks

Have found out that my Great GF was from Canton and went to the USA as a ships steward. I have no clue as to what teh boat was named or when it sailed. The Keik name is on the war memorial at Birkinhead in England. There are just so many gaps but i am just so fasinated by my cultural background.
