In the name Lim Sin Njo, the surname is Lim which is a Hokkien pronouniation. Most ethnic Chinese people in Indonesia are Hokkien whose ancestors came from Fujian Province in China. In Mandarin it is Lin. It means "forest". The personal is Sin Njo.

: I'm searching the family tree from my fathers grandma, named Lim Sin Njo, also known as Marie Herdle.
: She probably was member of Lim-clan till she married a german man named Herdle. They lived on Java and gave birth to daughter Elisabeth Herdle who married Jan Doedens (duth man) later on.

: It's so difficult to find something 'cause they're all so different cultures. Who can help me. I don't even know wich is a surname Lim Sin or Njo ??????
