My great g-father was William Wee/Wei Quong, born Canton approx. 1839. I have no idea when he came to Australia, but he married Eliza May Twigg in Bega, NSW in 1883 and they had 8 children. The family was very poor, though Walter, William's youngest son born 1898, went to China around 1902. It is not known if he went with his father. Both believed to have died in Australia. Would love to hear from any family.
