: Hi!
: My name is Sui-ting Rya Ho-tin-noe, I'm 22 years old and live in Puerto Rico. My problem is that I've been trying to find out things about my last name. Actually my last name, Ho-tin-noe was my grandfathers name, who was from Hong Kong. I am really ancious to know if somebody could help me finding out where does my name come from; what does it mean; who are my ancestors.
: I have a spanish translation of my name, because I'm Puertorrican, but I would like to know what it really means; WHO am I, etc.

: If by any chance sombody also knows what Joshia means, I'd like to know too, cause she's my sister.

Hi Sui-Ting,

I'm not sure about your name. However, Joshia comes from the Hebrew origin of Josiah.
Revell Bible Dictionary pg. 588
Josiah: "Yahweh supports"

Many of the prophets of Yahweh had "ah" as in "yah" at the end of their names. They all pertain to Yahweh in their names.

pg. 546 Jeremiah "Yahweh lifts up"
pg. 523 Isaiah "Yahweh is salvation"
pg. 1045 Zechariah "Yahweh remembers"
pg. 743 Obadiah "Servant of Yahweh"

All this info is found in Revell Bible Dictionary copyright 1990.

Mike
