Hi Liz,
The names and spelling had changed. Chung Shan is now spell as Zhongshan. Canton was British for Guangzhou and Skekki (or Shiqi under the pinyin system) is now officially known as Zhongshan City.
Tracing your roots is the difficult part. You'll need to know the names of your grandfather and father and their village in Chinese characters. If they were from Shiqi then you'll need to have the address since it is a town. What about your mother, do you have any information on her?
