The surname is "LIM", which means "Forest". LIM is used by Hokkein/Fujian clan of Chinese who hail from the southern province of Fujian in China.
Many Hokkeins migrated to South East Asia from 1800- 1940 in search of better fortune and partly due to the invitaion of colonialist (Brith and Dutch) who wanted the Cninese to help developing Malaya and Indonesia.
LIM is the 16th largest surname in China. For Northern Chinese, it is pronounced as LIN. For Cantonese it is LUM.
I think it is difficult to trace to the root of LIM SIN NJO, as most Chinese in Indonesia no onger retain thier Chinese name.
But you can try your luck if can manage contact the LIM clan associataion in Indonesia.
