Ko Kong sounds similar to Cantonese for GaoGong.
The local Taishan dialect will pronounce it as GiuGong. I believe your town is in DaJiang County in Northern TaiShan.

: My father (Suey Wai Leung) passed away recently. I am very interested in visiting the village where he was born. All I have to go on is Ko Kong (?) Toishan. Because I know nothing about the area, I have no clue if these are villages or suburbs as I have yet to locate a map of this area.
